KORONAVIRUS – INSTRUCTIONS FOR STUDENTS II. (update 29.3.2020)

Dear students,

Supplement No. 2 to the Rector's Order No. 07/2020 to reduce the risk of coronavirus infection was issued, which, in response to emergency measures issued by the Ministry of Health on 10 March 2020, extends the suspension of contact teaching activities from 23 March to 5 April 2020, see Enclosure for more details. Classes will be, as much as possible, in the form of remote teaching (i.e. using online learning and electronic means of communication etc.).

The supplement to the Rector's Order also states: “Persons (students or CTU employees) who are in obligatory quarantine or who have been diagnosed with a coronavirus infection are obliged to report this immediately to: koronavirus@cvut.cz, including the information, whether they have been in the CTU premises in the last 14 days and where, or with which CTU people they met”.

We are also considering whether it will be necessary to postpone certain deadlines in the Schedule of the academic year 2019/2020. Everything depends on the development of Covid-19 in the Czech Republic. At present, the situation is changing rapidly and it is not possible to predict how long remote teaching will be going on. This form of teaching is possible for most subjects, but some subjects cannot simply switch to this form of teaching.

We would like to reassure you that we will be forthcoming as much as possible so that you can complete all your study duties and successfully complete this semester and some of you even studies at the FBME CTU.
