STUDENTS FROM SOUTH KOREA AT CTU FBME
On the basis of cooperation between the Czech Health Technology Institute, z.s. (CHTI) and CTU FBME, a delegation of 25 students from the technical university Hallyim Polytechnic University (HTU), Dept. of Health Sciences from South Korea visited CTU FBME in Kladno on 9 August 2024 as part of their European tour.
The main aim of such study tour to Europe was to gain insights into the European healthcare system and industry. This educational journey aimed to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of various healthcare practices, the integration of advanced medical technologies, and the operational models of leading healthcare institutions. During the visit, the students got acquainted with the professional health care study programs at CTU FBME, but especially with several state-of-the-art laboratories, including the laboratory of tissue engineering, bioelectromagnetism, robotic rehabilitation, anatomical (plastinate) models and a laboratory with a medical rescue car and simulators. Subsequently, discussions were held on topics such as understanding the european healthcare industry, practical skills development, healthcare technologies and equipment, healthcare workforce management and the best practices in patient care. Through this tour, the students aspired to enhance their practical knowledge and skills, that will be ultimately contributing to the advancement of the healthcare sector in South Korea. In the future, further mutual activities are being prepared in cooperation with CHTI, z.s.
