Address:
nám. Sítná 3105, 272 01 Kladno 2 Opening hours:
Mon - Fri 6:00 - 22:00 Sat - Sun closed AED STATION
The Faculty of Biomedical Engineering has officially rejoined the network of institutions and sites where the so-called automated external defibrillator (AED) is available, which is designed especially for lay resuscitation, but also for use by trained persons, e.g. "First responders". This can also be traced in the Záchranka mobile app, where there is an up-to-date map of the location of individual AEDs in the country, which you can install. Similarly, you can find identical information on the website here.
AEDs, i.e. very high quality Powerheart G5 devices, are located in 1 piece and freely available always behind the main entrance at the reception on the right side to the high-rise building on Nam. Sítná 3105 and also at the reception on the right side in 2311 Sportovců Street. The presence of the AED in these buildings is also highlighted by two symbols on the glass doors at the entrances. The symbols are created in white on a green background.
The main advantage of these stations is the presence of trained students for most of the year, the presence of trained staff, but also of the so-called "First Responders".
Anyone interested can also see the algorithm of basic resuscitation using AED here and an instructional video on the use of AED on the website here.
