Dear colleagues and students,
We are pleased to invite you to a lecture by renowned international expert Prof. Stalpers from the Amsterdam University Medical Center.
Lecture title: Radiotherapy for Vestibular Schwannoma – Why Choose Fractionated Irradiation?
Vestibular schwannoma (VS) is a benign tumor of the auditory nerve that causes unilateral hearing loss and balance disorders. Standard treatment options include surgery, single-shot stereotactic radiosurgery, and fractionated radiotherapy. All of these approaches achieve excellent tumor control.
In his lecture, Prof. Stalpers will present technical (dosimetric), radiobiological, and literature-based arguments in favor of fractionated radiotherapy, particularly with respect to preserving functional outcomes.
The lecture will take place on Wednesday, May 28, from 11:15 to 12:00, in room C-4.
We look forward to your participation and the discussion that will follow.
Best regards,
Jan Vrba
