A STUDENT FROM THE FACULTY OF BIOMEDICAL ENGINEERING CTU WAS RECOGNIZED FOR THEIR WORK AT THE YBERC 2026 CONFERENCE

Matyáš Kloc, a student in the Biomedical Technology study program, received the “Award for Outstanding Presented Work” at the Young Biomedical Engineering Researchers’ Conference (YBERC 2026), an accolade presented to the five best contributions. He succeeded with his work focused on the design and fabrication of matching circuits for radiofrequency (RF) coils. The final design of the presented RF coil will be utilized in the faculty magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) system.

“Presenting the results at this conference was definitely a great opportunity for me. As a student, I was glad to experience defending my work in such a format, and the award was just the icing on the cake. The project itself was an excellent experience and I learned a great deal throughout it. I would like to continue refining the electronics, and this success at the conference is a major motivation for my future work,” said Matyáš Kloc.

The Bio-Electromagnetism team is currently finalizing the remaining components of the MRI system, after which the first imaging experiments are scheduled for this autumn.
